How we Support our UMOM Participants:

  • Work one-on-one with clients to create well-written resumes

  • Provide job readiness education to boost knowledge and skills before entering the workforce

  • Provide job retention support like clothing items, bus passes, and gas cards needed to maintain employment

  • Career exploration assistance

  • AZ @ Work on-site with Stephanie

  • Virtual resume help with Steve H.

  • Assistance with completing job applications

  • Up-to-date job leads for all education levels, experience, and backgrounds 

  • Employer Spotlights monthly! Meet employers and learn about their organization and their open positions- often with prescreening, interviews, or employment offers same day

  • Quarterly job fairs featuring multiple employers

  • Teach interview skills that help boost confidence and alleviate stress around job interviews 

Job Readiness

UMOM’s Job Readiness program is a two-part seminar held in the Workforce Development building. Learn skills that are foundational to a smooth transition back to work and help maintain employment.

  • Regularly scheduled for Monday & Tuesdays (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

  • Must complete part 1 (Mondays) before attending part 2 (Tuesday)

  • Be sure to register with your Case Manager or Workforce Specialist in advance to secure your spot

  • Check the calendar for specific dates.
